Dare I hope? I dare say I do! April’s first day saw spring finally breaking through in our neighbourhood, just outside the Oslo city limit, with no more than approximately 30 centimetres of snow left in our garden, as you will see from our driveway (above).
Sun’s been shining all around and receding snow’s seen all over the place, which is quite a relief, I can tell you, after a full winter of something close to one-metre deep snow since January.

The last remnants of winter in our backyard.
Easter’s just around the corner, too, a season for skiing and cottage life, but we’re staying put, planning to make the most of the occasion at home, doing things we rarely get to do in our everyday lives.
In light of a recent post I think it’s only appropriate to wish one and all a very Happy Pesach – in due course. We may not be so different, after all.
