And so it begins…

We all wonder, from time to time, why the Germans allowed themselves to be seduced by Adolf Hitler and his National Socialist party, and how they persuaded the better of an entire nation to consider the Jews criminal, greedy, self-absorbed and prepared to poison German culture with Judaism.

These questions have been asked over and over again, leaving us completely dumbfounded, even though we’re full aware of the effects of mass psychosis and an efficient propaganda machinery, and yet, we’re just as receptive of it as the pre-WW2 Germans.

Third Reich Führer and dictator Adolf Hitler.

Third Reich Führer and dictator Adolf Hitler.

They had the Jews, while the average 21st century Norwegian suscpects the Muslims of pretty much the same. In fact, it’s turned into a bit of a frenzy, leading yours truly to conclude we’re only a handful left prepared to offer the Muslims a chance to be fully integrated into society.

You’d think that massive slamming of Islam was restricted to the unemployed, the uneducated and the prejudiced, but recent developments show that leading politicians, as well as intellectuals, have joined the collective outcry, demanding severe restrictions on immigration and limitations in the Muslims’ right to exercise their religion in everyday life.

The far right Progress party, advocating stricter immigration policies and warning of a subtle islamification, have obtained a whopping 29.6 percent in recent polls, positioning itself for a landslide in the upcoming autumnal election, while people calling for our renowned tolerance are told to emigrate – to Afghanistan or Saudi Arabia.

The average racist is reluctant to see himself as such; marching about in uniforms, yelling heil this and heil that, blinded by the fact that those were mere cosmetics. Championing the core of nazism; hatred, scepticism and fear of the “unknown”, remains racism to me, if you don’t mind my saying so.

If we’re unable to recognise the very obvious resemblance to attitudes demonstrated some 70 years ago, we may as well give up on humanity altogether.

Previous posts on the matter

In the news (in Norwegian):

As for propaganda machineries; here’s P Machinery, from, while we’re at it, a German 1980′s group, very appropriately called Propaganda:

P.S. I’ve noticed lately, how, on declaring my Norwegian nationality, an urge to add “But with Swedish ancestry”, even though my Swedish blood’s been severely diluted over generations.

That can’t be good.

-A big question. It’s remarkable how they pulled it, but what is even more remarkable is how europeans can keep importing an ideology, islam, that has the destruction of all kuffars as their mainobjective along with imposing shari’ah on the entire planet. Those who ignore somebody who outright says that they want to kill you, do so at their own peril.

In all honesty I would expect Muslims in favour of sharia and a caliphate to remain in — or migrate to — countries working for those ideas, Spaceman Spiff.

Granted Muslims eager to wage Jihad on the Western world is expected to move abroad, but seriously, we really haven’t seen much of them in our neck of the woods, have we?

The term Jihad by the way holds different meaning to different groups of Muslims, which I think we’d do well to remember, too.

Reductio ad Hitlerum; more commonly referred to as ‘Godwin’s Law’.
Or as I like to call it, playing the nazi card.

It is a quite common strategy for lefties/socialists/liberals/traitors when they are out of arguments… calling every man of opposed opinion a nazi or racist (or worse).

The police reports that EVERY violent rape in oslo is committed by immigrants; and then suddenly everyone is nazis for wanting an end to this madness?

  • Jarle Petterson (author) says:

You cannot possibly mean that phenomena resembling the onset of Germany’s darkest years should not be compared to it, Richard Winther.

By replacing Muslim or Islam with Jew, Jewish or Judaism in some of the allegations brought forward in contemporary Norwegian deliberations, chances are that we’d consider the resemblance striking, don’t you find?

The fact that we’re debating Muslims or Islam, not Jews or Judaism, in my view really doesn’t change that notion.

    In response to your

I’d just like to add that you’re referring the 41 reported assault rapes in Oslo over the last three years (the real figures remain obscured). Police statistics released a year ago (on 22 April 2008) revealed 161 rapes and 35 attempted rapes in Oslo throughout 2007, while your 41 rapes took place during the course of three years. Which only goes to show that native Norwegians prefer to carry out their rapes in the privacy of their own (or their hosts’) homes.

This ties in very nicely with a post I published last September, Piirka Kellivoite, which, by the way, led to much discussion.

  • Piirka Kellivoite says:

  • Jarle Petterson (author) says:

First, I hope you forgive me for replying in English, as, after all, it is the blog’s language, Piirka Kellivoite. Hope you don’t mind.

I can sympathise with Erkki Tuomioja’s sentiment. No country, Norway included, likes to be reminded of its prior faults or shortcomings. In Norway, for instance, it has lead to a growing understanding of governmental funding of proper burial for Norwegian SS soldiers who fell on Russian soil. After all; although our government at the time fled the country in order to oppose Nazi Germany and its occupation of Norwegian territory, quite a few sided with the Germans, too.

Whatever the case in Finland may be, or was, as it were, there’s a sense of honour in acknowledging ancient mistakes, too. At any rate, there’s no need for you and me to be ashamed of mistakes made by yesterday’s countrymen.
