Having parented for the better of my adult life (so far for 20 years), there’s no getting around it: You get to see a lot of kiddy movies, and, sadly, all the fewer grown-up films (not to be confused with the adult kind, mind you). Thank heaven for DVDs! The prospect of a small number of Hollywood celebrities, among whom Nicolas Cage (hence the photo), not setting foot on Norwegian soil makes the headlines, as top story even.
The occasion is, was or should have been the marriage of some Norwegian death/black/heavy metal band lead “singer” this autumn, allegedly postponed.
Of course, the whole thing is of no concequence to either of us, and, naturally, utterly uninteresting. But that’s just it, isn’t it: It still makes the headlines.


I solemnly swear never to let Insignificances become overly significant in any way. Which is not to say that it's devoid of significant matters. My take on the matters, on the other hand, is highly insignificant, rendering the entire blog… Well, insignificant.
