Sharpshooter Raid Build Guide for Lost Ark on Maxroll.gg (1)

Introduction

Sharpshooters have two Class Engravings available to them, Death Strike and Loyal Companion, but they only have one playstyle. They can choose to use either one or both at the same time.

Both Class Engravings revolve around building Sharpshooter's Identity Gauge called Hawk Meter. In addition, some skills have Skill Tree which boost the amount of Identity gained on hit. When your Hawk Meter is full, you can activate Summon Silverhawk to gain access to Wings of Storm and Last Rush.

The biggest advantage Sharpshooters have are their Crit Rate Skill Tree for the biggest damage skills like Easy Prey for Snipe.

Sharpshooter is not a fully ranged character as you might otherwise believe. To generate Identity for Hawk Meter, they have to get into melee range for Moving Slash, Deadly Slash, and Blade Storm. However, it is true that most of their damage skills are ranged and don't require positioning for head or back attacks.

Sharpshooters suffer from low Stagger and Destruction Check, so they don't contribute too much to the party besides damage. Two of their biggest hitting skills, Snipe and Charged Shot require them to stand in place. Against immobile bosses this isn't a problem, but you have to be more careful against more active bosses.

Raid Skill Build

  • Snipe is your biggest nuke assuming you hit the Perfect Zone.
  • Arrow Wave is another big damage skill.
  • Atomic Arrow is used constantly to apply Amplified Damage (party synergy debuff). The delayed application of the debuff compliments the Snipe cast time nicely. It is also a nice Stagger skill.
  • Charged Shot is taken with Fast Fire because you can release it immediately for full damage. This is a main damage skill with Stagger.
  • Sharp Shooter is your final Stagger skill, but it doesn't deal much damage.
  • Moving Slash is your basic reposition skill and gap closer. Silver Master Skill Tree is one of your best Hawk Meter chargers.
  • Deadly Slash is your Counter and charges Hawk Meter.
  • Blade Storm is a melee ranged skill that charges Hawk Meter.
  • Golden Eye is the preferred Awakening over Fenrir's Messenger for Death Strike Sharpshooters as they do not need an Awakening to help charge their Hawk Meter.
  • While Fenrir's Messenger is the preferred Awakening for Loyal Companion Sharpshooters as it can help them charge up 100% of their Hawk Meter when it's used. It's great when optimized with high Swiftness and Awakening.
  • Summon Silverhawk can be activated when your Hawk Meter is full to gain access to Wings of Storm and a big nuke skill called Last Rush. With Death Strike, Last Rush applies a debuff on the boss which increases damage taken.

Alternatives

  • Rapid Shot can replace Atomic Arrow if you don't like the delayed Amplified Damage application. The downside is you lose much needed Stagger, which is the main reason why it's not used as much.
  • Arrow Shower can replace Deadly Slash if a Counter is not needed or Blade Storm if generating extra Hawk Meter it's not needed. Loyal Companion Sharpshooters can run this as they don't need to worry about losing a Hawk Meter charge skill. Death Strike Sharpshooters probably do not want to switch.
  • Steady Aim can replace Fast Fire on Charged Shot for a longer charge to deal slightly more damage.
  • Shadow Dance can replace Blade Dance on Blade Storm for more mobility against bosses that move around a lot. You lose some Hawk Meter generation though.

Skill Rotation

  • Death Strike
  • Loyal Companion
  • Death Strike + Loyal Companion

Death Strike

Death Strike, Last Rush applies a debuff on the target hit for 8 seconds allowing the Sharpshooter to deal 44% Increased Damage at Level 3. Follow up with all your damage skills to burst the target down. Additionally you recover 50% of remaining Hawk Meter, allowing you to easily fill it again for your next damage rotation.

  1. Use Atomic Arrow or Rapid Shot to debuff the target with Amplified Damage.
  2. Fill up your Hawk Meter with:
    1. Moving Slash
    2. Blade Storm
    3. Deadly Slash
  3. If your Hawk Meter is full, use the following Identity Rotation:
    1. Summon Silverhawk
    2. Wings of Storm to mark the target with Loyal Companion 14% damage increase debuff.(Loyal Companion is optional)
    3. Last Rush to mark the target with Death Strike 44% damage increase debuff.
  4. Use the following main damage skills base on priority in Death Strike Mark 8 seconds window:
    1. Snipe
    2. Charged Shot
    3. Arrow Wave
    4. Sharp Shooter
  5. Repeat the full rotation.

Loyal Companion

Loyal Companion, Silverhawk Basic Attack and Wings of Storm apply Mark of Death on the target allowing for 14% more damage. Unlike Death Strike Sharpshooters, Last Rush is not used until Hawk Meter almost runs out. Instead, use Wings of Storm whenever it is available.

  1. Use Atomic Arrow or Rapid Shot to debuff the target with Amplified Damage.
  2. Fill up your Hawk Meter with:
    1. Fenrir's Messenger
    2. Moving Slash
    3. Blade Storm or Arrow Shower
    4. Deadly Slash
  3. If your Hawk Meter is full, use the following Identity Rotation:
    1. Summon Silverhawk
    2. spam Wings of Storm
  4. Use the following main damage skills until your Hawk Meter runs out:
    1. Snipe
    2. Charged Shot
    3. Arrow Wave
    4. Sharp Shooter
    5. Arrow Shower
  5. Use Last Rush when your Hawk Meter almost runs out.
  6. Refill your Hawk Meter and repeat the skill spams.

Death Strike + Loyal Companion

Note: This build requires High Specialization between 850-1000 stats points, max level cooldown reduction gem for Blade Storm and requires Silver Master max out for Moving Slash, Blade Storm and Deadly Slash.

This specific build gameplay requires high Specialization stats to generate high amount of Hawk Meter in shortest time as possible to support the gameplay of generating Hawk Meter as soon as Wings of Storm and Last Rush is released to quickly resummon Summon Silverhawk to benefit from Loyal Companion 10% Attack Power increase, while both Death Strike 44% damage increase mark and Loyal Companion 14% damage increase mark is still on the target to maximize damage output.

  1. Use Atomic Arrow to debuff the target with Amplified Damage.
  2. Fill up your Hawk Meter with:
    1. Moving Slash
    2. Blade Storm
    3. Deadly Slash
  3. Wait for Blade Storm to come back up.
  4. Use the following skills as soon as Blade Storm comes back up:
    1. Summon Silverhawk
    2. Wings of Storm
    3. Last Rush
  5. Use Blade Storm(and Deadly Slash if needed to generate more Hawk Meter) immediately after Last Rush.
  6. Re-apply Atomic Arrow to debuff the target with Amplified Damage.
  7. Starts channeling up Snipe while Blade Storm is generating Hawk Meter and activate Summon Silverhawk as soon as Hawk Meter filled up then release Snipe.
  8. Use the following skills as fast as you can within the Death Strike and Loyal Companion marks remaining duration:
    1. Charged Shot
    2. Arrow Wave
    3. Sharp Shooter
  9. Repeat back from Step 3.

Stats Priority

Most Sharpshooters run high Crit to capitalize on their high Crit Rate Skill Tree during early Tier 1 to Tier 3 pre Legion Raid gearsets.

  • Death Strike: High Crit and Swiftness with speck of Specialization. Run Crit on all accessories and Swiftness from your necklace. Some Specialization from only a ring will help smooth out Hawk Meter Identity Gauge gain and some damage boost to Silverhawk skills.
  • Loyal Companion: High Swiftness and Crit. Run Swiftness on all accessories and Crit from your necklace and a ring.
  • Death Strike + Loyal Companion: 60% Crit, 40% Specialization. 1100-1300 Crit and 850-1000 Specialization , Crit all accessories and Specialization only from necklace and a earring. *Even though this stats is possible for NAEU but it is unrealistic for the time being until bracelet exist for easier optimization and the build doesn't work well until full set relic gearset. This build has been discovered recently after Loyal Companion effect reworked which requires a unrealistic rotation that is clunky with missing gearsets and lower stats.

Engravings

Class Engravings provide powerful benefits that dictate the playstyle of a class. Battle Engravings are generally used to increase damage. Below are the recommended Engravings for this build.

Check out theEngraving Guidefor more details.

Starter Engravings

  • Death Strike applies a big 44% Increased Damage Debuff on the target for 8 seconds.
  • Loyal Companion grants +8% Movement Speed , 10% Attack Power Increased and 14% Increased Damage Marks while Silverhawk is summoned. At high end Tier 3 , both class engravings can be use together.
  • Hit Master synergizes well with Sharpshooter since the majority of yours skills do not have Back Attack or Head Attack modifiers. This engraving doesn't affect your Awakening skills. It is the safer option out of both Grudge and Cursed Doll.

Add-On Endgame Engravings

  • Keen Blunt Weapon* complements the high Crit Rate Skill Tree.
  • Raid Captain synergizes with Loyal Companion and should only be used together. With the +8% Movement Speed from Loyal Companion and high Swiftness stat, you can get at least +136% Movement Speed for 16% damage increase.
  • Awakening is used by Loyal Companion Sharpshooters at late Tier 3 end game optimization when they have high enough Swiftness(1600+) to reduce awakening cooldown by a significant amount and pairing with this engraving at Level 2 to try to get close to 50% awakening cooldown reduction so that they are able to use Fenrir's Messenger to generate 100% Hawk Meter back as soon as Silver Hawk expires.

Advanced Engravings

Note: The Advanced Engravings are the Best in Slot setup for Tier 3 content. The penalties attached to these can be hard to overcome for new players. Only use the following engravings if you are experienced with the boss fight!

  • Grudge* increases damage done while also increasing damage received. The engraving is a highly effective damage increase without needing specific positioning, making it worthwhile even with the penalty.
  • Cursed Doll* is a significant Attack Power increase at the cost of 25% healing penalty from battle items. The healing penalty can be punishing for inexperienced players not familiar with boss mechanics.

(*)These Engravings should only be used at Engraving Level 3.
